A mate of mine form Lima was here last week -checking out LBS (that is London Business School for the rest of us). Everytime someone comes over to visit, I try to give them a tour, as much as I can of London. What a great place, when you think about it.

There is a bit of everything for everyone. A few months ago showed Heidi and her mum around and we visited the eye (pic), Buckingham and Harrods (originaly for Heidi's mum but she ended up shoping for boots). Just before that Mariana and Jota came by and we checked out the pubs and had a full english in Brixton. Then one satruday in January I took Fabiola to Camden and Portobello (two markets). Jose (the LBS guy) had to do most of the walking himself, but we managed to go to a new pub every night (sometimes more than one) and the south bank.

But the reason for the blog.. well.. msotly a bit slow just after lunch, so no reason, really.

I've been looking at this picture for a while, now. It's in my screen saver and it pops up quite often on my screen. This is probably one of the best pictures of my grandmother. My mum's mum. She is palestinean, born in Bethlehem, catholic.

A powerful and strong woman. She has worked and cared for others all her life: and you can tell. The work, you can see in her wrinkles; the caring in her eyes and her smile.

You grow up with people around you -all your life- but hardly ever look at them. Look-look, I mean. It takes a picture to do it. And even then, it'll probably be a few months or years until you notice something that has always been there but you were blind to.

She always smiles at me.
